Wooden Music Box

This music box is made entirely of wood. It employs a hand cranked conveyor belt that moves wooden balls along a grid pattern where they eventually fall and strike chimes creating music.

A view from the starting end. The balls are raised through the grooves with fingers and then released onto the conveyor by wooden buttons.

A view from the opposite end where you can see the belt, crank and chime mechanisms.
